KUALA LUMPUR, 15 April 2021 — Hari Raya is about familial bonds, sharing, and caring. While it might be a little different for some people this year as they might be unable to visit all of their friends and family, Goodyear Malaysia would like to keep the Raya spirit alive, spread some joy and share some amazing surprises with their customers, especially those who might be on the lookout for a new festive ride.

Alex Ng, Managing Director of Goodyear Malaysia said: “It has been more than a year since we have all been impacted by the pandemic, but hopefully things will start to get better within the next few months. This Raya season, we would like to reward our dear customers with a chance to own the Perodua Ativa, which is one of the most talked about vehicles in Malaysia today. There will be 3 ‘X’ variants of the Perodua Ativa up for grabs, all equipped with Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 tyres right out of the factory. These tyres offer superb wet braking performance thanks to HydroTred technology, making it safer to drive on both dry and wet conditions.

“We would also like to take the opportunity to remind Malaysians to stay safe while celebrating this Raya season, by driving safely once interstate travel is once again allowed, and to also always practise social distancing”, he added.

From Thursday, 15 April 2021 up to Tuesday, 13 July 2021, Goodyear will be giving out exciting rewards to three grand prize winners and seven consolation prize winners, in which they will receive the newly launched Perodua Ativa B-segment SUV and four pieces of Goodyear tyres respectively. Customers will simply have to purchase up to two Goodyear tyres and register online at Goodyear Malaysia’s Worry Free Assurance web page.

Contest details

To be eligible for the contest, customers need to be able to legally own and drive a car as of the contest period. They will also have to purchase at least two pieces of Goodyear tyres from any Goodyear Authorised Branded Retail Outlet or Distributor and proceed to register online via Goodyear Malaysia’s Worry Free Assurance web page. Every purchase of two pieces of tyres will be registered as one entry and individuals may submit multiple entries, subjected to the amount of tyres purchased. Customers will also need to complete the slogan, “I choose Goodyear tyres because…”, in which they should not exceed an addition of up to 25 words. Winners will be announced on Goodyear Malaysia’s official website (www.goodyear.com.my) and Facebook page (@GoodyearMalaysia), as well as contacted directly for the prize collection.

Goodyear’s Worry Free Assurance will cover road hazard damages that are beyond repair such as punctures, cuts, bulges or impact during the course of normal driving on a maintained road. In order to receive a tyre replacement under the programme, customers will need to present their Goodyear Worry Free Assurance card or online warranty registration along with the original receipt of purchase and damaged tyre within six months of purchasing at any Goodyear Autocare or Servitekar store in Malaysia. With this extra layer of protection, customers will have one less worry while driving around within the state during Raya season to visit their family and friends.
